EURO 2008 - Quarterfinal 2 : Turkey vs. Croatia
that could get interesting.

I was downtown Frankfurt till a little while ago .... Turkish fans outnumbered the Croation fans 3:1 ... at least ....

I prefer Croatia to win ... alone because I don't want to see Germany vs. Turkey ... too scary :scared:

It'd be one thing if it were due to tough defenses... but it sounds like just a snoozefest.

15. I'm afraid of that
BUT if either team plays like today in the semi final Germany shouldn't have a problem making the final

16. Heh... well doesn't Turkey have a few key players out?
They may be tougher on the day, if they get past Croatia.

From what I've been reading, Croatia seems to have been the better side so far.

We'll see!

or they kick us out of the game :scared:

Now to the penalty ... let's see which one has the stronger nerves. I don't even have to sit in front of the TV, I just have to listen to the Turks who watch the game

39. Many, many Turks live in Germany
Most Gastarbeiter (guest workers) there are Turks. Entire neighborhoods such as Kreuzberg in Berlin are largely Turkish. Imagine a USA-Mexico qualifying match in a world where more than a handful of Americans gave a fig about football, and the clashes between (the imagined football-savvy) Americans and Mexican immigrants that might ensue. :scared:

Which reminds me, isn't this supposed to be a European tournament? How did Turkey get in to begin with? Okay, part of one large city happens to be on the European side. But the rest of the country is quite definitely in Asia (see under Asia Minor).

40. Turkey would rather be known as European than Middle Eastern
I guess it's better to be sick man of Europe than the healthiest man of the Middle East.
