I would like some comfort |
|
I recently posted an ad on craigslist and got a couple of great replies. one of which i was really interested in, so we are emailing back and forth having all these things in common, exchanged pictures, we both said how attractive each other was, so i asked if she'd like to meet. she gave me her number, i call her, phone conversation is going fine, she suggests the location and the time to meet, asks for my phone number and we hang up. i get an email this morning from her saying how she doesn't think we're compatible and good luck in my searching. :wtf: I don't get it. first off, the whole compatibility thing, that's how the emails started in the first place. second, why would she suggest the location and time if she wasn't interest? Anyway, i just needed to tell someone about it, thanks for reading.

it came down to actually meeting up with someone. It's not something you did wrong.

the girl now answers mi emails sparingly, and suddenly she seems to be 'busy'
the only difference is that we knew from long ago, and now its that we were getting together

On the surface, it doesn't sound like incompatibility was her reason. It sounds like you talked to her one time, and now she is apprehensive to meet someone she doesn't know very well. Even "wild" women grow leery of meeting someone thru the internet when it comes down to it.
If you really want to meet her, suggest that you are in no rush to meet right away, and you would enjoy talking with her again over the telephone.
Good luck, but she sure isn't the only fish in the sea.

I met my husband online. It takes a lot of courage to meet face-to-face with a total stranger you came to know through the internet. And I was one of those "wild" women! I dated another guy years ago that I met through the internet... it took 3 years of being friends for me to get the courage to meet in person!

Personally, I would forget about her. However, you might want to email asking if the date is still on. You can never tell.

Either something you said later triggered a warning flag in her mind, or she decided it's not a good idea to meet people that way. You can't know what her issues are, so move on. If she's that changeable, she might be a bit psycho anyway, so you're better off.
