18. How the hell has Midlo not seen Pulp Fiction? |
|
I don't even really like the movie, but I've probably seen it a dozen times.

I don't know how I've never seen it. But I heard enough about some of the scenes that :scared:

37. If you lived with Haruka, you'd see it at least every couple months |
|
She can recite most of the lines from it.
It is a pretty messed up movie.

Didn't do anything for me. I'm not a big fan of Tarantino anyway - he's way too full of himself for my taste.

So much crazy shit goin' on. One great scene after another.
"No, man, I'm pretty fuckin' far from all right."
"Five long years, your father wore this watch up his ass. Then when he died of dysentery, he gave it to me. I hid this uncomfortable piece of metal up my ass for two years."

I'm not a fan of Quentin Tarantino now and I wasn't when I saw it. :eyes:
I think he's hugely overrated and gets a lot of credit for over the top violence which has more to do with audacity than originality.

14. I got 26 minutes into it |
|
and the violence turned me off. That and I felt no connection to the characters whatsoever.
Now, The Professional, on the other hand, that I consider a "guilty pleasure" since I don't generally go for violent movies. The characters I can feel for, though. Violence in scifi is kind of a given, but I can get around that, too. Good science fiction doesn't rely on or depict a lot of violence, but you don't find much of that anymore. And if I want good swordfights, I'll go with the original Japanese samurai movies, like the Zatoichi series :P
