When did Canobie Lake rename the Crystal Orbiter the Tiki Maze?
:wtf:

Just throw up some bamboo, and it's tiki now.

And for longtime Canobie Lake visitors, do you remember when the maze used to spin? I've been going their since the late 70's and don't remember it ever spinning. I also don't remember ever being able to truly enjoy the maze, as it's always a conga line from entrance to exit. :eyes:

I did just learn why it no longer spins though - the ghost of the old operator. :o

"I prefer to call it by it's former name, "The Crystal Orbiter", because there's nothing Tiki about it. The Crystal Orbiter is a mirror maze that's housed in a small, round building that used to rotate. It's not that difficult to menuver your way through it, but it is still fun. There's a legend about the Crystal Orbiter that tells why it no longer rotates. There was once an old man who used to operate the ride, because he couldn't do much of anything else around the park. Supposidly, when the old man died, the Orbiter stopped spinning. To this day, even with a brand new motor, the Crystal Orbiter will still not spin."
