I made an appt with the plastic surgeon
insurance will cover everything! its in october, but I'm on the wait list if there is a cancellation so Tuesday is my last day smoking. The surgeon then hooks you up with a nutritionist and personal trainer.....how cool

29. the only time I regretted mine was when I couldn't nurse my 2nd daughter
although to be perfectly frank it was very difficult with the first because of the seize. Good for you RA I hope you're as happy with your results as I was with mine. Your back will thank you and if you're anything like me it will mean you'll finally be able to find a bra that fits (and doesn't cost $100). Best wishes!

13. Breast reduction doesn't have the stigma that most plastic surgery would...
Because there are legit, non-vanity reasons to do it.

Can't wait to see the tattoo. I need to book some appointments to finish my half sleeve, but it has to wait until after I get my new computer, haha.

14. I may have mentioned it, but I used to date a girl who was seriously considering breat reduction.
She wasn't particularly huge, but she was a tiny girl, way too tiny to support her huge knockers, and yeah, she had a ton of back problems because of it.

16. Well...ah...
ok look I'm a heterosexual male I can't help but WANT to make a sly comment of regret of he loss of boobage in the community but I'll refrain ;) .. I've known women who've had it done and listened to them and others talk about the problems to much weight can give them. So I understand unless you find someone who is willing and your are willing to let walk around with you and ah...carried them around for you so to speak...this is probably your best option.

Seriously, glad to hear you can get the insurance coverage and get some relief and what you want. Make sure you got a good doc and place to recover and keep us posted.

19. Great opportunity for an art project
...and no, not all naked and stuff. :D

Were it me, I'd go out now and take lots of profile pictures of myself in front of landmarks and such. Repeat process post-surgery. Make collage.

Of course, I'm a bit of an odd bird.

20. I'm jealous!
When I am 100% certain I'm done having kids, I am RUNNING to the plastic surgeon to get mine done! I can't wait, just thinking about no more shoulder grooves, back/neck pain, and the ability to perhaps even go topside commando once in a while makes me giddy. You'll be all perky and stuff!

25. how much are you reducing by (cup size)?
A friend had it done about 15 years ago and was SO relieved. She insisted she wanted B-cups, but her surgeon said an average C-cup might be best to try first, then she could always get another reduction (not really realistic, but still an option). I think she was happy she didn't go down too much, but her sport was rowing and she said it was SUCH a revelation to be able to row w/o maneuvering around giant boobs! And the relief of not having to wear 2-3 sports bras, the deep ridges in her shoulders from the weight, etc.

Glad you're having it done! I hope you will be very happy with the results. And if it can get you to stop smoking permanently, all the better....

28. just my humble opinion - go for the C cup
a B might be feel like too radical of a change.... it will be a HUGE difference, and you need to take into account your body type, height, all that stuff.

But I'm sure I'm not telling you anything you haven't already thought of! Just relating my vicarious knowledge from my friend's experience.

31. One of my friends who had that done
Her breasts were so large her husband would roll over on them at night sometimes. After she had them done, she was so excited she pulled me aside to show me. Many of us wish for those elusive "aesthetic breasts" who don't have them naturally. Her results were the most beautiful breasts I'd seen in a while.

41. Be sure your doctor is board-certified. Don't even think about
cheating w/cigarettes - healing can be most definitely impaired even with second-hand nicotine fog. Good for you!
