Honest opinion here: Is my friend going overboard? |
|
I have a friend who told me today that he and his wife are going to go up to canada after they cash their rebate check and with the $1,500 (They have a kid) and the additional $1,500 is wife have stached away they plan on going to the Nigara Falls area and go to one of those exchange shops that changes American money into Canadian change the the $3000.00 and go back home and hold onto the money. They are convienced that "WHEN" this country goes into a depression they will hopefully have money that is worth something.
He has been encouraging us to go on this journey and exchange some money.
How many would go and do it?
How many think this is completely off the wall?

2. If this country goes into a depression, it could affect the entire world's economy. |

I'd put that money into gold. Gold is not an investment, it's a hedge against inflation.
