I'm almost afraid to ask this but here goes. Is there really such a thing as feminine intuition? I don't hear people talk about it anymore, so perhaps it's a vestige of the 1950's. If you have feminine intuition, what does it tell you? Can you give an example?
Just asking.

1. I think it's that women are usually more perceptive about social situations than men |
|
and men, back in the day, thought that was weird.

2. I always figured it was men's excuse as to why women sometimes figured things out before they did. |

"Don't worry, she's not smarter than you dude... it's just 'women's intuition'." :P

3. I think we all have intuition and that it isn't gender related |
|
and I think intuition is just thoughts formed in the part of the brain that does not process language.

to an extent
I think I have it with my close friends and of course my family. I don't think it would work with strangers or casual acquaintances

5. It's a form of sharply-focused mental discipline |

Most girls' first exposure to it is in fifth grade or so, when the kids are all separated boy/girl and ushered into separate rooms for "the talk." For the boys, it's some banal overview of sexuality and what physical changes to expect in the coming years; for girls, it's the first initiation into the worldwide Sisterhood through which they learn the methods by which society at large is controlled. The shorthand for these methods is "feminine intuition."
And that's just the first exposure to it. Later, data is exchanged in secret meetings during those tandem bathroom visits. Other information is disseminated through commercials for feminine hygiene products, which men ignore by reflex.
If you're reading this now, there's a good chance that the Sisterhood has already put me to death. Spread the word! Spread the word! Avenge me!

On edit: "Feminine intuition" is an insulting label we had/have to use to get men to take our opinions and observations somewhat seriously.
