I am a bit peeved at Direct TV right now
specifically, at two of its employees...

I have been getting an intermittent signal on some of my channels lately, so they sent two people to fix it.

Well, I am not sure why they felt they had to open the door to the bedroom, but my Fiancee was in there, lying down. The two guys somehow felt the need to stare, until she noticed it, and got up to shut the door, which was, accidentally they claim, opened again...

They ARE working through an access panel outside the door, but that is no reason to open the door. My Fiancee locked the door, and asked them to leave, then called me.

I told her to call the police if they do not leave. They left, and I called Direct TV.

 <---me right now.

That would totally skeeze me out.

Were they actual employees of Direct TV or subcontractors?

5. I am having a hard time getting a straight answer
from Direct TV right now, but we DID file a police report, so maybe the police will have better luck getting the story.

it made me really mad, I actually left right after posting this to go home to be with her.

9. That sucks
I believe most of the technicians (or at least the installers) are subcontractors. Not that it makes any difference, other than the layers of crap you have to slog through to file the complaint and assure it goes to the right place.

4. Those two guys should be fired for that kind of shit.
I have accidentally opened doors I ought not to have, but I don't stand there and stare. I say "Sorry!" and immediately close the door. (And I'm completely embarrassed by it too.)

What these guys did may have STARTED as an accident, but standing there staring at your fiance was no accident!

:grr: <---Me

7. I agree
they should be fired, or not hired as contractors, whichever the case may be.

8. When the little hillbilly
idiots showed up to install mine I wouldn't let them in the house. I made them stand at the window and explain how to hook up everything inside. I do not like people I don't know comming in my house.

13. Mine is installed, but
apparently there was a loose connection behind the dish that needed fixing, or something...

11. She let them in
Edited on Thu Jul-10-08 09:22 PM by jasonc
we both knew they were coming, so that part was not a surprise. Their actions sure were however.

I just realized that they may have known she was in there and "accidentally" knocked the door open...

God that pisses me off.

17. So she let them in and then went into a bedroom and shut the door to lay down?
I wouldn't do that if strangers were in a house with me while I was alone.

To be clear, I am not saying that what you say happened would be OK by ANY means.

18. Yeah, I asked her why she did that
and expressed my opinion that it was not a good idea, and all...

She was clothed, and stuff, but still it was very very wrong for them to do that.

She was very tired though, and I can sympathize with her for that.

16. I did, for sure
I also may not be giving them anything else. if they don't start cooperating, I will cancel my service.

I think I can get all the channels I need on Comcast...
