3. when they get outside -- they are assaulted, stimulated,
tickled, and just sent off the charts with a universe that other dogs or people or cats or just about anything doesn't even know exists.

but they're so cute to look at -- they make up for it.

5. actually a beagle would probably try to eat horse balls
because they seem to have a really disgusting list of things they find delicious -- like poo, feminine hygiene products, used kleenex, etc. :shudder: My sister's beagle is gorgeous but I'm afraid to let that mouth come anywhere near me.

8. we have to keep a gate at the top of the stairs and the litter box in the basement
otherwise it would be constant beagle snacking, not only in the litter boxes but she'd eat the panties at the bottom of the dirty laundry chute too. What the heck IS it about beagles? We've got 4 other dogs here and none of the rest of them do that.

11. we should invent a new dog treat "Litter Box Crunchies"
we'd make a fortune off of people with beagles. I've said before how my daughter claims that they need to make "crotch flavored rawhides" for beagles.

13. yeah but that's where it's a win-win situation
because we know beagles will eat anything but lots of people like to buy stuff for their dogs because it makes them feel like they're spoiling them. We'd make a fortune, especially if we made it with actual cat crap.

21. Yep. I always say the beagle will anything that doesn't move...
and a few things that do. She's quite fond of June bugs, for example.

22. I have a special "dirty panties" drawer, because she'll knock over the hamper,
and search through the other clothes to find 'em. So far, she hasn't figured out how to open the drawer.

10. Cesar Milan says a working dog needs to work.
Try saddling the beagle with a pack with water bottles on each side when you go for a walk. Seriously.

Also, you must never let the dog in front of you. Make the dog wait until you have exited a doorway, then allow him/her to follow. Have calm energy in your own self, and be relaxed. Don't allow the dog to pull ahead. Stop and make the dog sit, and then walk off in front of it, with relaxed hold on the leash. You are the pack leader. Shoulders up, good energy.

17. Cesar, is that you?
LOL! I love him. He's so right on about dogs.

My dog is hunter and she could pull my arm right off if she wanted to. But we're a long way into the peace process and have great walks. For a while when she was a puppy, I used a pinch collar. Don't need it any more. She knows I'm driving and that's fine with her.

24. Dachshunds aren't much better...
...not to mention my little long hound has allergies. It's terribly sad. She gets assaulted by all sorts of smells then sneezes a bunch afterwards.
