Cliques here in the Lounge.

I admit, I'm a little slow at times, but I just realized that there are little cliques here. I realized this because I was reading a thread here and realized that everyone posting knew eachother and I didn't know anyone! I didn't post...kind of like walking into a party where you don't know anyone. The fault with not posting lies with me not with them! Anyone else notice this or is it just my imagination?

2. I'm not in a clique

I'm not in a clique, but I've posted in the lounge, and people have been very cordial. It's natural for friendships to form when people talk to each other regularly. I've generally found that if I interact politely, respecting long-standing relationships, I'm generally accepted into the clique after a while.

I didn't mean to use "clique" in a negative way. I just realized that there are groups of people who seem to hang together. I need to get over my shyness. :-)

We're kind of goofy sometimes. Sometimes we are in the same room, she has a laptop, and are both on the boards and respond to each other's messages. I think we need help!

I'm very clique sensitive and haven't noticed any major ones that would dominate the lounge and intimidate others.

There are groups of peope who have met at DU gatherings so tend to talk to each other more, but that's to be expected.

If you see a thread you like, just jump in. It's all good. :D

To me, the term 'clique' implies a desire to exclude others; the individuals I know don't seem to behave that way.
