How cruel is Life that compels us to get so attached to people who are mortal.
How cruel is Time that takes away our youth and replaces it with decay.
How cruel is knowledge that lets us know what we should have done so long after we should have done it.
How precious is a moment where we can live without having the present stolen by the future.

I've known/played with a lot of "technically" great musicians who never mastered the blues, yet I've also known guys who only knew three chords that could send chills down your spine. The difference in almost all cases was who "had" the blues.
Be sure to share more of your poetry.
