In your opinion, have there been other instances of Presidential electoral fraud in the US?

1. nope, Ruther"fraud" B Hayes came before |
|
his win was determined by an electoral commission after FOUR states had their results contested. Gotta love the election of 1876, also gotta love elections where 3 candidates all have a legit shot at winning multiple states. Hayes lost the popular vote and generally got his ass handed to him by Samual Tilden but reports of fraud in (Surprise, surprise) Florida, Louisianna, and South Carolina had the election turned over to Hayes.

2. Read Gore Vidal's "1876" for an entertaining fictional account of that election |

:-)
Preferably after you've read "Burr" and "Lincoln."

4. In addition, interesting because the results were also due to apportionment problems. |

3. The HBO mini-series "John Adams" |
|
implies there were bribes exchanged to make George Washington a unanimous choice in the first electoral college vote.
