I'll start.

Breakfast - IHOP Belgian waffle w/ strawberry compote & black coffee

Lunch - Wendy's #1, plain & dry, Biggie-sized w/ Diet Coke

Dinner - Tony Roma's full rack of baby-back ribs w/ double fries (no seasoning) & HUMUNGO Miller Light - draft

2. nearly everything
I miss toast. I'm forced to go extremely low carb. No pasta, no potatoes, no bread, very limited grains, no freaking toast.

5. I am doing low-carb too.
Have been for 2 1/2 months.

Meat & peanuts, basically.

And broccoli.

7. Yep, low carb here as well.
Do you have any idea what I'd be willing to do for a plate of Nachos or a slab of Lasagna? For that matter, a half of a whole wheat bagel would be a huge treat...

:grr:

3. a big meal of fried fish and chips or a big batch of fried chicken.
with gallons of sweet tea, heavy on the lemon

Way too many WW points for me to eat that.

Breakfast would be one of those 3 egg omelettes w/ lots of cheese, a load of hashbrowns and biscuits and gravy. Endless coffee

lunch would be the fried chicken or fish

Dinner: Prime Rib, baked potato w/ lots of butter and cheese, big salad and some sort of decadent dessert or other. Chocolate Mousse I think.

of course I don't eat hugh!!11 platters of pasta anymore and when we get pizza I only eat 2 slices, instead of half a large pie,
and when we eat Mexican food I share the meal with my dining partner

9. Pizza

Forget it, it's nothing but calories because you always eat one or two more slices than you really need.

12. There are favorite meals I wont have often
meat loaf, pizza (with loaded toppings) but I will have them on occasion.

But there are also meals I used to love that I can't even think of eating anymore, not just because they aren't good for my health, I just have no desire for them anymore so they're not favorites anymore.

But one good example is:
Double Whopper with cheese
Large Fries
Strawberry Shake

I used to eat this on a fairly regular basis when I worked at Burger King and even occasionally years afterward. now just the thought of it makes my stomach clench :)

15. Shawarma
Arabic food. Goat and lamb (and rarely veal , chicken, turkey, beef or sausage; also any combination of above) slow-roasted on a spit with onions, tomatoes and various spices. Served on pita with hummus, cucumber, tomato, tahini, and mango pickle or beet-dyed turnip pickles.

It's the Arab world's version of fast food. Composition varies by locale. Sold from stalls in the bazaar or by street vendors and in fine restaurants alike.

Fatty, greasy, young-animal-flesh. Reminds me of childhood.

17. oh yummy....
I lived on shawarma when I was in Israel and Jordan. :9

I could go for one right now. Instead, Mr MB is making me a salad because I don't want it and if he doesn't do the work, I am gonna make something unhealthy.

16. Eggs
I cannot eat eggs and haven't been able to since my 20's. They make me horribly sick to my stomach, even the fake eggbeater things.

Kills me - I love eggs. I love 'em any way you cook 'em. Hard boiled, soft boiled, fried, poached, sunny-side up, over easy. I love them deviled or scrambled, in an omelet. You have no idea what a drag it is to go out to breakfast when you can't eat eggs. :(

Every once in a blue moon, when I have 2 or 3 days free, I'll make an omelet or a plate of fried eggs and savor the whole thing. Then I'm sick for the next 48 hours or so. ~sigh~

21. Have you tried organic eggs?
Haruka used to eat eggs all the time, then they started making her sick. She found out that organic eggs don't really bother her.

It's kind of scary though, when you think about it. What the hell kind of crap is in non-organic eggs that it could cause that reaction?

19. deep-fried stuff. Onion rings, french fries, tempura, et al..
Unfortunately, as you age, you gotta modify. I guess I had enough of those foods in my 20s and 30s to last a lifetime!

I love seafood, but we've got to stop over-fishing and polluting the hell out of the oceans. :(

22. Fried hot dogs loaded with onions, relish and ketchup
About a decade ago I got sebaceous cysts in my neck and face area. The were frequent and huge. I thought I had something very serious. An internal medicine specialist traced it to chemicals in hot dogs and bologna. So I have to avoid them.

A couple of times I've tested the theory and had a fews hot dogs or bologna sandwiches. Within days the cysts show up. Now I'm not even tempted.

23. I'm kind of low-carb, although I've eased up recently
But there are still some high-carb items I can't eat anymore.

Breakfast: A big ol' stack of pancakes loaded with syrup, or a Belgian waffle

Lunch: Any fast-food hamburger. Had a big gloppy burger twice when visiting my brother in California, and both times it made me ooky in the stomach. The fat? the grease? everything together? I don't know. But...ew.

Dinner: A giant plate of pasta, especially alfredo. Yum. :9

26. Calamari
I love it, love it, love it. But I've seen too many Discovery Channel programs dealing with the lives of squid. They are much more intelligent and expressive than most humans give them credit for. Ergo, I can't eat calamari anymore, even though it's just so darned good. I'd rather they swim around in the ocean and live happy little squid lives.

28. Chicken Pot Pie
My grandmother used to make it great. Then I found some Canadian produced pot pies sold as house brands that was a distant second. They stopped selling those, but continue to stock shepherd's pie. Though I don't think anyone ever buys those. But I could be seeing stock that's been sitting in the grocery store fridge for 20 years. All the rest are nothing but bland chicken soup with a papery dough crust.

29. Too many to list.
We stopped eating processed foods and fast food, or at most restaurants for that matter.

I can't say I really miss any of it. Real food tastes so incredibly good! :hi:
