15. SpellBound 0.7.3 - Spellchecker for Firefox and the Mozilla Suite
Mine doesn't look like this version though. I just have misspelled words underlined in red.

Mine might be WYSIWYG ... seach FF for different versions!

--------------------------------

SpellBound 0.7.3

Spellchecker for Firefox and the Mozilla Suite

http://spellbound.sourceforge.net/

What is SpellBound?

SpellBound is a port of the spellchecker code and user interface
from the Mozilla Suite's Composer that enables spell checking
in web forms such as html textarea / input elements (html input
password elements are not checked by SpellBound) and rich
text form elements. This allows you to spell check forms (e.g.
message board posts, blog entries, wysiwyg, etc.) before
submitting them when using your Mozilla Firefox or Mozilla Suite
browser.

There are no special system requirements beyond those to
run your browser and it has been verified to work with Windows,
Linux, Mac OS X, OS/2, and FreeBSD. If you are running an
optimized build of Firefox (e.g. any of the builds in the
Third
Party/Unofficial Builds forum at
MozillaZine,
etc.) then you should use the same libraries from an
optimized Thunderbird build otherwise you may experience problems
(see My optimized build isn't listed... will you
provide support for it? section in the FAQ for
more information).

If you are using the builds available from
http://www.mozilla.org/ (e.g.
http://www.spreadfirefox.com/,
http://www.getfirefox.com/,
the builds available in the
Firefox Builds
forum at
MozillaZine,
ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/, etc.) the
standard libraries available from this site are the ones you should use.
The libraries are already included with the Mozilla Suite and do not need
to be installed.

The options dialog allows you to specify the background and text
color for normal text and misspelled words. You can also choose to
have misspelled words in bold, italic, and/or decorated with an
underline (e.g. as shown above - the line color corresponds to the
misspelled word color). The editor window's minimum height,
whether words will be wrapped at the edge of the editor, and the
selected dictionary can be specified here as well. The bottom of the
options dialog provides a preview of how the editor will look when
spell checking.

16. I think there is a spell checker native to DU
When in the body of the message, my words are underlined in red here on DU but not on other boards.

17. There's a spell checker before you post here but I added one from FF too
It may be combined with Scribe Fire or one of my other add ons.

That Real Player one allows me to download video's from anywhere into my Real Player too! :D

19. Doh! -- It's built into Firefox 2 ....
Edited on Wed Jul-23-08 08:14 PM by Breeze54
What's New in Firefox 2

http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/2.0/releasenotes/

snip-->

Inline spell checking: A new built-in spell checker enables users to quickly check the spelling
of text entered into Web forms (like this one) without having to use a separate application.

Resuming your browsing session: The Session Restore feature restores windows, tabs, text typed in forms,
and in-progress downloads from the last user session. It will be activated automatically when installing an
application update or extension, and users will be asked if they want to resume their previous session after
a system crash.

6. So what's the best thing for filing/tracking bookmarks?
I gotta get a handle on my bookmarks, it's starting to take a psychic toll having so many w/o any organization!

8. I have mine organized (by hand) into folders
I have several folders on my bookmarks toolbar, for my most visited sites.

Bookmarks become a total clusterfuck. I am not sure what the solution is.

12. Try Foxmarks Bookmark Synchronizer 2.1.0.12
Foxmarks Bookmark Synchronizer 2.1.0.12

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2410

* Bookmarks

If you use Firefox on more than one computer, you'll want Foxmarks.
Install Foxmarks on each computer, and it will work silently in the
background to keep your bookmarks synchronized. You can also log in
to my.foxmarks.com to manage your bookmarks from any computer.

11. I just started using Firefox...
it never crashes on me the way Explorer always does and it seems to be faster? Of course, since I have now broken up with Explorer, I find it easier to remember it's flaws and shortcomings, it is so hard to remember the good times we had together.....:hi:
