Maddy said I should start a game, so here goes... :scared:
Not a DUer this game. I'd have to answer too many questions with I don't know.
The usual rules apply:
3 questions maximum per post
Questions have to be answerable as either Yes or No
If someone doesn't guess within 50 posts, I win. Else first person to guess correctly wins.
GO!

Most known last name starts with a letter M or later in the alphabet.
Real, leagal given name is also fairly wel-known, and starts with a letter L or before in the alphabet.
You did this to torture me, didn't you? :P

I mixed them up in scrambled eggs, just like you said. That was a long time ago. I sometimes buy a whole butchered pig for a roast and the wholesale butcher told me he was not permitted to open the skull. Guess the days of the good old fashioned brainfest are over.

American.
Common last name begins with M or after in the alphabet.
Legal last name begins with L or before in the alphabet.

and the questions drove me crazy.
were you a veteran of a war? No? He did serve for two weeks in a volunteer militia thing, but they didn't do any combat, and I don't think they ever had any official status. It was more, "Hey, let's go join the civil war." "Okay!" "meh, let's not, this isn't such a good time."
How do I answer that?
He wrote entertaining books, and stories, and he did do presumably humorous stage-lecture tours.

I think I misled when I said yes to the entertainer question. Maybe it's because we don't really think of authors as entertainers today. Entertainer? Ah singer, actor, dancer.
But if I'd said no, that would have been misleading as well, because he did entertain his readers.
It's like the where in the alphabet does the first letter of his last name belong question. T for Twain? C for Clemmons? yes.
