Help! Inescapable karaoke... |
|
So my company has given the department I work in a budget for monthly "team-building" exercises but unfortunately we have four karaoke crazed team-members who veto any non-karaoke suggestions for how to spend the money. (The best we can get is other activity, like dinner + karaoke).
So I'm going to be stuck going to monthly karaoke nights until I quit or die.
The problem is I have a "distinctive" vocal range and not much interest in music so I don't know the words or tune to most songs. But it's rude not to try at least one or two songs (apparently) so I need some suggestions for non-vocally challenging karaoke-friendly songs I can learn which encourage others to join in and drown out my horrible singing. I've exhausted Bon Jovi and U2 already. Bonus points for not-terrible or totally cliched songs or songs open to psychological analysis by coworkers..
Any ideas?

I'd flat out refuse to attend. Or, I'd agree to attend, and not attend.

Learn "Teddy Bear" and "Pantom 309". Next time out at karaoke night, load up on liquid courage and MAKE THEM PAY DEARLY!:D
