I Feel Pretty!

MARIA

I feel pretty,
Oh, so pretty,
I feel pretty and witty and bright!
And I pity
Any girl who isn't me tonight.

I feel charming,
Oh, so charming
It's alarming how charming I feel!
And so pretty
That I hardly can believe I'm real.

See the pretty girl in that mirror there:
Who can that attractive girl be?
Such a pretty face,
Such a pretty dress,
Such a pretty smile,
Such a pretty me!

I feel stunning
And entrancing,
Feel like running and dancing for joy,
For I'm loved
By a pretty wonderful boy!

Don't ask me why, 'cause I don't know. I just feel pretty!

Now, where is the mystery boy??

5. Who could ask for anything more?
I've Got Rythym!

Days can be sunny
With never a sigh,
Don't need what money
Can buy.
Birds in the tree sing
Their dayful of song.
Why shouldn't we sing
Along?
I'm chipper al the day,
Happy with my lot.
How did I get that way?
Look at what I've got.

I got rhythm,
I got music,
I got my man --
Who could ask for anything more?
I got daisies
In green pastures,
I got my man --
Who could ask for anything more?
I got daisies
In green pastures,
I got my man --
Who could ask for anything more?
Old man trouble,
I don't mind him --
You won't find him
'Round my door
I got starlight,
I got sweet dreams,
I got my man --
Who could ask for anything more --
Who could ask for anything more?!

I got rhythm

I got music,

I got my man --

Who could ask for anything more?

I got daisies

In green pastures

I got my man --

Who could ask for anything more?

Old man trouble,
I don't mind him --
You won't find him
Hangin' 'round my front or back door.

I got starlight

I got sweet dreams

I got my man --
Who could ask for anything more?

Who could ask for anything more?!

Old man trouble,
I don't mind him
You won't find him Polly
'Round my door Oh...
I got rhythm,
I got music,
I got my man --
Who could ask for anything more? Oh...
I got daisies
In green pastures
I got my man --
Who could ask for anything more?
Who could ask for anything more?!
Who could ask for anything more?!

13. Well, Anything Goes!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iVsD0rltRr8

Times have changed,
And we've often rewound the clock,
Since the Puritans got a shock,
When they landed on Plymouth Rock.
If today,
Any shock they should try to stem,
'Stead of landing on Plymouth Rock,
Plymouth Rock would land on them.

In olden days a glimpse of stocking
Was looked on as something shocking,
But now, God knows,
Anything Goes.

Good authors too who once knew better words,
Now only use four letter words
Writing prose, Anything Goes.

The world has gone mad today
And good's bad today,
And black's white today,
And day's night today,
When most guys today
That women prize today
Are just silly gigolos
And though I'm not a great romancer
I know that I'm bound to answer
When you propose,
Anything goes

When grandmama whose age is eighty
In night clubs is getting matey with gigolo's,
Anything Goes.

When mothers pack and leave poor father
Because they decide they'd rather be tennis pros,
Anything Goes.

If driving fast cars you like,
If low bars you like,
If old hymns you like,
If bare limbs you like,
If Mae West you like
Or me undressed you like,
Why, nobody will oppose!
When every night,
The set that's smart
Is intruding in nudist parties in studios,
Anything Goes.

The world has gone mad today
And good's bad today,
And black's white today,
And day's night today,
When most guys today
That women prize today
Are just silly gigolos
And though I'm not a great romancer
I know that I'm bound to answer
When you propose,
Anything goes

If saying your prayers you like,
If green pears you like
If old chairs you like,
If back stairs you like,
If love affairs you like
With young bears you like,
Why nobody will oppose!

And though I'm not a great romancer
And though I'm not a great romancer
I know that I'm bound to answer
When you propose,
Anything goes...
Anything goes!

10. No shit, and I can't wait for them to dump Washburn
I swear everything thats been done since Lou left has been a dismal failure...we need to get rid of Beltre too. Ichiro doesn't have much time left either(age wise), but if he stays in shape he could be an M for quite some time.

I was thinking of composing a letter to Norm Charleton, and Bone the other night, and urge them to come outta retirement and help the team out...

:D

11. I still think the key is getting rid of the front office peeps.
I'm not sure about getting rid of Washburn. He's been pretty good lately.

I'm just tired of the Big Guys getting all the props, when they actually suck, and blaming the guys on the field.

At some point, you DO have to look at the top tier for the origin of the problems.

12. Oh, I totally agree about the front office folk, I didn't mean
to imply I supported the front office...

I think Washburn is...average, I was just expecting so much more from him...we kept him, and dumped Moyer and he was still doing above average work.

Its been a while since the M's did much of anything, its like the M's got crappier, while the Hawks got better, usually the Hawks carried the mantle of Seattles suckiest sports team....but I guess that belongs to the Sonics which appear to be moving to Oklahoma....

21. Were I not so new, and it not so controversial
Edited on Wed Aug-06-08 10:14 AM by SurfingAtWork
I'd do a copycat of this titled: I'm feelin Petty, and copy the lyrics of "Won't Back Down". But that would likely draw ire in some, so I'll refrain.
