My long gone Ex was a great Photographer...before he went insane:

I couldn't find a bigger pic, sorry. He took this pic in North Brimfield, MA, if I remember correctly, when we were with them as they were recording their last album. I was listening to some Acoustic Junction music this evening and stumbled across this picture. Long gone memories of better days. I was the manager's assistant and the babysitter for his two adorable sons. That was well over 10 years ago. I'm still in touch, loosely, with the lead singer and his brother who used to be in the band. Those were some wildly fun days. I was 19 and having the time of my life. I miss Reed, Matty, Curt, and Tim. And my friend Hillary, who was all in love with Curt. Good times. I have some pics here from when I met up with them again in Pittsburgh a few years later. :)

Just a recollection. It's sad that he went so fucking insane, he was a great photographer. All of that is lost now, sadly.

:hi:

1. Great genius always seems to be on the brink of insanity.
I wonder why that is......

2. Soon after this pic was taken, he went over the brink...
I mean he had everything going for him...When we lived in Pgh, he as commissioned by the Vatican to take pics when certain relics came to town, and they were magnificent photographs.

He lost his mind, and everything else. All of his negatives, cameras, etc, gone. Ended up in a mental hospital and then federal Prison. Not that he didn't belong there, b/c he did, but it's sad. Needless to say, if I'm driving and he's in the crosswalk, I'll turn him into road pizza, but that's another matter altogether. I can still be a little sad over the talent that was so utterly wasted.
