Screw the Olympics...
When and where is the next WINTER Olympics?

Now that is fun to watch.
Even curling! :-)

3. Hopefully, the climate will hold out.
I don't want to miss curling, either. ;)

6. Global warming means wetter weather in the PNW
It's a bit counterintuitive but a warmer Pacific Ocean means wetter weather for us which is why some of the glaciers in the Cascade range have actually been expanding. As long as it's cold enough, there should be plenty of snow.

7. I hate wishing for cold temperatures,
It feels entirely against my nature. Rain and storms are okay though. :)

10. I find cold easier to deal with
Put on a sweatshirt, throw a quilt on the bed, start a fire... When it's hot, one can only strip down so far.

9. The Olympics have pretty much lost their specialness
Too much about science and engineering and not enough about the athletes. Plus the coverage sucks and it's become way too commercial.
