I hope I'm posting this in the right forum, but I just wanted to stop by and introduce myself. I'm new to DU, been lurking for a while but finally decided to make the jump and start posting. :) I'm 27 years old and I live in NC in a VERY conservative county(Bush got almost 70% of the vote here in 2004:puke:) so it's hard for me to find like minded people around here. I am registered Unaffiliated but have very progressive beliefs.. I would consider myself to be somewhat of a hippie and sometimes I think I was born about 30 years too late.. lol. I have always loved politics and I proudly support Barack Obama for President. It's time for a change; the past eight years have been horrible for the country.
The forums here seem to be a bit overwhelming... but as soon as I get the hang of it I will be posting a lot more. I look forward to posting with y'all!
