Anyway...

there's a dude here singing karaoke. He's singing with more joy than most people I experience, and with more fervor and passion as he hammers out Neil Young, ABBA, and other folksy/seventies kind of tunes.

Singing so jubilantly and with so much joy, in fact, that he apparently feels really bad about the idea of excluding the notes not in the key, and so he's using them all! As well as some tones in between.

It's wonderful!! And awful! But a wonderful awful!!

It's not like those people who come out all earnest and determined but then they just suck - this guy sucks, but he's doing it with so much joy and such a sense of fun it's really quite catching! I find myself tapping my foot. Thankfully he's playing to recorded backgrounds so the beat stays precise, even as his vocal keys seems to wander due to joyous spinning on the mountaintop of lifesong.

Also, there's only like three people here, so he's singing a lot...

2. I like karaoke when people sing with joy like that. I hate it when the
wannabes take themselves too seriously.

4. Non-alcholic karaoke? I call bullshit.
YOU CAN NOT SING KARAOKE ON CAFFEINE ALONE.
Period.
There has to be alcohol.
Caffeine doesn't alleviate inhibitions
Alcohol does.
