$386 later
the Honda has stopped leaking antifreeze all over the driveway and now has a new radiator. Not like I have #386 mind you. I unemployed. :eyes:

Uncle. I give up. I refuse to see how much worse things can get. Really...

3. If it makes you feel any better, that's almost exactly what my Honda guy
charged me for the same problem a few weeks ago. So, you didn't get overcharged (or if you did, you're not alone).

Sure does suck to see all that steam and green stuff, doesn't it... :(

6. Hondas have good maintenance track records, but when they break ...
They break in an expen$ive way.

The key jammed in the ignition lock on mine, and it took $1500 to buy it out of hock. It seems when the ignition lock gave out, the electronic security system had to be replaced also.

8. Ouch!
Mine's a 1994 with 180k on it. I've put in a new transmission, ball joints, speedometer head, distributor cap, spark plug wires (x 3, they keep melting), had a portion of the front wiring harness replaced (nor horns or turn signals), oil is leaking off the front and back of the engine and the air conditioner compressor died. Now the radiator.

If I didn't need a second car for Lelapin to get to work, I'd have scrapped it long ago. I put over 20k on the 2000 Ford I bought 15 months ago and still have 15 payments left.

Sigh...

7. I'm right there with you
In the last few weeks, the windshield has cracked and the door handle broke off. Add this to the ominous sound the car makes, and I think we're looking at an expen$$$ive repair. :(

11. Mine is going to need a steering rack soon. $800.
Isn't having a 14-year-old car great?

In reality, it's been a great car. Very reliable, but when things need replacing it's EXPENSIVE. x(
