And so very, very sad. My daughter and I were talking about the potential for political assassination attempts a couple of days ago--not a usual topic of conversation for us, but I'm very afraid it goes with our political climate.

5. I worry a little bit.

Because WannaB is interning for a local Dem candidate and is often at the Dem offices. Things are not good for people, jobwise, here and our Governor is a Dem. I just sometimes worry they will walk into any Dem office and let loose. But, live free or die.

6. The right-wing has been feeding this nut fringe for years, they see it ending...

and like caged animals they're going to start acting out - slashing, tearing, shooting. There was that other guy that gunned down kids in a church. I'd say, "What the hell is wrong with these people!?" But I already know, they're fucked up in the head. They're stupid, they're ignorant bigots. They have no creative, long term tools in their little psych tool box and so this is what the world gets: fucked up people acting upon their psychotic tendencies.

My husband has a line in one of his novels about regional...'folks', shall we say, "Some people are barely people themselves."

Hearing about this today, after the church shooting and all the rest of it coming to a head? It was easy for me to see this kind of thing happening more often. Hate radio is gearing up, inciting this shit all over again. They know their audience very well.

Be careful out there.
