Somehow I thought she and Daniel were buddies, but both her and Kelly (?) seemed sort of mean towards him tonight.
And as far as Daniel himself goes, that waifish schtick is getting a little thin, and he's the one I originally wanted to win. I'm a little surprised he didn't get kicked off.

I don't know how Tim thinks they're novel.
I think my grandma has a nylon windbreaker made out of one of those fabrics tonight. :P

The really fast one. (She made the jacket, pants, blouse for the Olympics challenge)
She's older than the kids, too.

I think it's that the trash bags just didn't drape the way she was expecting, and she should have gone for a more skintight look.

34. Re: the garbage bags ... I think she was just being cheap. |
|
The bags she used looked like the cheapest ones available. they also looked like kitchen bags, too.
If she used 33-pound trash bags (the ones restaurants use) she would have been able to do something better.

15. Ah, I see. So it *is* possible for wannabe homemakers to tune into this... |
|
and live vicariously through some others person's ability to perform what are essentially home arts, hm...intersting. Sounds like another 'kind' of Iron Chef. I'll have to ask Betsey, she's my theater gf. She has advanced degrees in theater costuming. Sews all hubby's clothes, split second between scene alterations, university/seminar speaker coast to coast on the subject of theater wardrobe, patterning, etc, she's a no-jive Indiana girl i.e. I've seen her squat on a stool and milk cows here in town at State Fair/CalEXPO dressed like Stevie Nicks
Personally, I don't have the time for such shows. If Betsey says it's cool then it's cool. If she says it's crap? Then it's crap. I'll get back, thanks for the heads up ;)

The best part about Jarel and Stella's dress was that it really looked like they both worked on it, whereas the "winning" dress looked like they each did their own thing and put the two pieces together.

And IMHO, this one was way better but it still looked like the pieces weren't finished. I'd worry that they would totally fall apart.

Last season had a whole crop of very well-trained designers who had very impressive resumes.
This season the talent just seems blah.

previous seasons had about 3-5 that were usually great. and others who did well.
even the losers in previous seasons who ddin't even make the final 3 were better than many of these people are. for example Nick Verreos.
this is the weakest season they have had.

Only seasons 3 and 4 had really strong casts, especially last year. I think the top three last year could have won in every single season so far. God last year was good.
This year has some pretty good people, and I think Kenley will win it all even if her fabrics are so tacky that they couldn't be an outdoor vinyl tablecloth
