19. Thank you everyone - I so wasn't expecting that to happen

I get a call near the end of the day from the boss, and he tells me he needs me to come into the office tomorrow afternoon (I only go to the office once a week to drop off my time sheet if I have to), because "we need to have a talk. There are going to be some changes made." It sounded like there was going to be bad news, like I was going to be dressed down, or laid off, or something to that end.

I immediately began worrying about the worst, and decided to head to the office today as I didn't want to end up worrying all night and tomorrow. I was worrying out loud to my coworker as we rode back, and at some point I joked that he really wants to talk to me to give me a big fat raise. :D

He's going to push for a $1.75/hr (not his final call, but he usually gets his way) starting a week from Monday. I will also now have the official title of Party Chief (I've been chiefing for some time now, but without the title, or pay) as opposed to my current lack of any title. I will now be given a company vehicle and gas cards (it's been like that for at least the last month but it was supposed to be temp.).

Also, the company will reimburse me for my college tuition (based on my grades).
