So, school's starting again...
at least it is here. #2 son left to go back to Greeley this evening and #3 son and #4 son each have orientation at their new schools tomorrow morning. Classes begin Monday.

So...what did you do over the summer? What was the best of times?

For me, it was having all of my kids under the same roof for the first time in over a year.

What was the worst of times?

Having my kids arguing all summer because they were under the same roof for the first time in over a year (next time one of 'em tries to tell me I'm set in my ways, I might have one fewer kid).

:eyes:

What were your best and worst moments?

1. Hey sweetie!!
Worst? Moving and Lelapin going cold-turkey after being on Paxil for 8 years and Welbutrin for a year. She had the shakes, brain shocks and crashed and burned. But, she's off the meds now and I have my daughter back. So I guess that's also the best...

2. We both do...
it doesn't get much better, does it?

I'm sooooo glad Lelapin's doing better. And the move is all over and done with and you're all settled in?

3. More or less
I was let go because I wasn't a "good fit" so now I'm looking for a job again, this time in a new city with a one year lease. The Honda insists on attempting suicide at every turn and I'm tired. I can't even tell my parents about the job. I can't tell any family. All I've done is fail. But damn, I'm good at it...

:(

4. Oh, shit.
I'm so sorry, sweetie. Anything look promising? Other than taking a sledge-hammer to the Honda, that is.

6. probably not in time for my rent due September 1
I bought a 2000 Taurus 15 months ago. I'm paying on that too...

Oh, and Lelapin's still in college and needs the Honda to get to work. It's always something, but I know you know all about that.

8. At least she's got a job.
Bonehead came up dry over the summer. Means he has no car this year. No money saved. Of course, we're still trying to get the long form of his birth certificate so's he can get his permit and his license, so a car for him isn't even something I can comprehend right now.

It really is always something. Just once, I'd like to be able to say, 'there's absolutely nothing going on right now.'

5. Ah, I remember my time in Greeley...
An enjoyable, cow-scented two semesters before I finally escaped that cow-run, cow-themed cowtown.

7. What? You didn't appreciate
blood-burning Fridays? At least that's what I'm told it is. The smell is worse if you go into town from the east end...we found that out last year.

:shudder:

9. Actually, when I was up there, they usually burned the beef blood on Tuesdays or Wednesdays.
I don't know if I've ever been to a consistently smellier town than Greeley, but I don't think I'd like to either.

10. Mine go back Sept 2, and the arguing has driven me nuts, esp in the last week or two. It's vaguely
like that last few weeks of pregnancy for me. Just can't wait to get them outta here! LOL (Except, of course, when they are being quiet, cute, and good.) :P

11. Quiet?
OH...you mean those three hours between 2 and 5 a.m.

I remember those. Vaguely.
