Just moved my baby into the dorms at UNC-Chapel Hill |
|
Of course, we live in town. Not that I won't see him.
In fact, the opticians messed up his glasses prescription, so they weren't ready before now. We have to go pick them up this afternoon.
Ha! Empty nest for about 4 hours! Guess I can handle it.

4. Those dorms were part of the sort of mandatory phys ed program when I was there |
|
Incredibly far away from places and you couldn't have a car so people got used to walking / biking.

5. There are shuttle buses now that run all the time. Or you can walk. |

It will be good for my son.

a few of my friends and colleagues have kids heading off to college about now...
It seems exciting and kinda bittersweet at the same time.
Mine's only 12, I have a way to go yet.

:) UNC Chapel Hill is an excellent school - my mom is a graduate, and when I was college-hunting she took me to see the campus, which is beautiful! I ended up going to William & Mary, but UNC:CH was on my short list of possibilities, and I'm sure your son will have a wonderful experience there. :hi: Best wishes!
