As I have been boycotting anyway I have only been forcefed snippets through the news when I couldn't kill the remote.

I was very amused at the wrestler who returned the bronze medal. That's what the IOC should have done to China over this whole mess... pulled the plug and switched venues to a new city at short notice.

6. I hate the NBC coverage

according to them, the only sports are gymnastics, swimming and the occasional beach volleyball and men's basketball matches. If you don't have cable, those are the only things you get to see and only if/when U.S. athletes are in the mix.

I am not a swimming fan and I'm getting tired of all the Michael Phelps adulation crap. How many times do I have to hear about his 12,000-calorie-a-day meals or see his mother on TV? I get it, he's the greatest swimmer EVAH and the greatest champion EVAH, but enough is enough.

The last snippet I accidentally saw despite my boycott was that poor Hungarian wrestler who dislocated his elbow while lifting a huge barbell.

14. Well I am not into sports but I do like to watch the summer Olympics.

I had a really good time watching yesterday, I need a break from real life for awhile.

I don't feel like staying up till 3am to watch it. Then with the ensuing adrenalin rush, I'd never get to sleep. Though this weekend, I may make an exception for the synchronized bingo.
