9. Whoops, my bad! ...
"Army of Ghosts", as a one-off episode, was terrific. The follow-up episode is instantly forgettable, however...

14. At least with Steven Moffat taking over as head writer
we can look forward to the *end* of whiny/needy/clingy/jealous Rose Tyler. :P Hopefully more story and less companion romance.

15. I did like his stories, from series 2 onward... very innovative stuff.
"The Girl in the Fireplace" is a hair better than "Blink", mostly because of the ship ran on organic parts - definitely imaginative.

I too am glad Rose is gone. And is it just me, or did Billie Piper seem to not really want to be involved in that finale?

(meanwhile, in the real world, scientists have discovered a way to run a computer using a rat's brain cells...)

18. She supposedly "forgot" what accent she used for Rose
leading to her barely intelligible dialog.

I wouldn't have minded Rose so much if Russel T. Davis hadn't kept trying to shove her down our throats as the besty-best companion of all time eehhh-vaarr. :eyes:

Poor Martha Jones was just used to remind us of how much we were supposed to be missing precious princess Rose. She was allowed some character growth, but was constantly under the shadow of Rooossseee...

(rat-brained computers...!?! that's just a horrible science fiction cliche waiting to go wrong).

24. dear god, I hope so
This last season totally sucked (except for the awesome parts, and the emotional parts that actually were). He was however in charge of the best/worst episode from this past season - the silence in the library was 1/2 the best new Doctor Who episode, and 1/2 the worst. The shadow monster thing was totally awesome, even including the cheesy walking space-suits, but the past/future doctor girlfriend was honestly the worst piece of shit I've ever seen on any Doctor Who episode ever, times infinity. But, back to Rose Tyler: yeah, she came back... no shit... big surprise. It's not as if she was in every single god-damned episode. It was like if you were trying to plan a surprise birthday party for your friend John, and every time you saw John, you said, "John, do you think you will have a surprise birthday party this year? Someone might be planning a surprise birthday party for you. That would be super crazy if on your birthday, you went somewhere at an arranged time, and lots of people were there and jumped out and said 'surprise!', and there was cake and stuff. Do you think that might happen this year on your birthday, John? A surprise birthday party, I mean."

10. Does it matter? Is it supposed to matter? Why do people care? Is that all they care about?
The original series (1963-1989) avoided the topic - mostly because we all know most species tend to have sex and the show isn't about people having sex - it's adventure, alien worlds, different cultures, and seeing the unaccustomed (e.g. in Britain, 1963, police boxes were uncommon - the TARDIS being a police box to help open viewers minds)

The new series, being character- rather than adventure-based, has to open up the topic since it can't do much else... can't even leave Earth either. (At least the 3rd Doctor was exiled, what's 9th's and 10th's excuses?) Even the creator of the new series says it's on Earth and "drama"-based because people can relate to it... (and yet the show did well enough for 26 years without having to be a soap opera...)

Thanks to the new series, on sci-fi forums, people ask if the Doctor actually did it with Sarah Jane, Barbara, Peri, or even Jamie... Then again, intellectual capacity has always been frowned on in society...

12. No problem...

I probably have a stick up my butt or something, or at least am off my meds, , but the Doctor being an alien and all, the current series' writers and producers humanizing him as much as they have has been... depressing.

13. There are some questions that more dedicated
Dr. Who fans are tired of, I'm sure. I haven't watch a whole lot of Dr. Who, but I think you know I really love Sylvester McCoy.

So, I probably should have figured that question was asked a million times...

20. I couldn't agree with you more about the new shows.
A friend of mine refers to it as Doctor Who 90210.
I'm partial to the Doctors I grew up with Tom Baker, Jon Pertwee and even
Doctor Moe, Patrick Troughton. I could re-watch any of those episodes where as
I have no desire to see any of the new ones again.

Rosell Tyler Davies is a bit ridiculous, but I really like the new series - as well as the fifth and seventh Doctor. I didn't see the deleted post, but the Doctor is actually close friends with many of his companions.

I actually found a little jpeg or gif of it that would be great, but I'm too poor/stupid/stubborn to donate and have it as my avatar. Stupid me.
