Would someone please eradicate John Madden's voice from my memory?
Actually, get rid of all of it - his voice, the sight of him, and most of all, the aura of Mr. Obvious.

I have no idea why they interview coaches and athletes at all.

"Well, I think we need to run the ball better to set up our passing game."

"You just aren't going to win too many games when you give up that many points."

"We need to stiffen up on defense to keep them out of the end zone."

5. John Madden was once the best announcer in football
He really knew his stuff and he could be very educational. Sadly he didn't know when to retire and now he is just a caricature of his former self.
