For some reason, when I'm driving I sometimes think, "What if I were actually dead, and when I died, my demise just got cut out of the story, and "life" just went on as though I hadn't croaked." What if death were just a continuance of the life you would have had if you hadn't ceased to live at a particular moment. I realize this doesn't work in all scenarios but in, say, a death-by-car-accident or something. That would be weird. If wonder if I'd ever die in my death? If I figured out that I was dead, I think I would see if I could fly.

3. I have thought of that. |

Like if when you die, your soul or consciousness jumps to another you that exists in a parallel universe. In that case we would be immortal. Also would explain deja vu. :D

About 30 years ago, I was living in a cabin without electricity or water. I had a camp stove for cooking and I used propane. The tank was inside the cabin. Once, when I was wondering if there was a leak in the hose that connected from the propane tank to the stove, I turned it on and lit a match near the hose to see if there was, indeed, a leak. There was a brief flame. When I went to have it fixed, I told them what I had done. They said I was very lucky to be alive. Sometimes I think about that and wonder "What if I did die"?
