Children of the 80s, do you remember...
Kaepa shoes? Two sets of laces? I had the high-tops. They were awesome!

3. Whatever happened to dinosaurs? Everything was suddenly all
about dinosaurs for a few years; toys, kid's bed sheets, TV shows etc for a few years, then they were gone again.

5. No seriously, my kids were children in the 80's and it really was dinosaurs everywhere
for a few years. I couldn't figure out where they came from or why they went away again. I even made some stuffed dinosaurs from a Simplicity pattern.

6. My nephews who were kids back then were like that too.
Both of them had tons of Dinosaurs, and don't forget GI Joe and The Transformers!

I had GI Joe when I was that age, but they were a BIT different... ;-)

7. I remember flourescent laces--
and deliberately mismatching them, but that was on knock-off Converses (all about the chucks.) I had a pair of hot pink high-tops, which I paired with skinny jeans and big socks. Which I wore with a matching sweatshirt and a ginormous hair bow. Or a bandana. And there were different ways you could do your laces up--like so they all looked horizonatal instead of criss-crossed.

Wow. Add some friendship bangles and mismatched earrings on each ear and I was a freakin' posterchild.

9. The only Kaepas I had were my cheer shoes. I don't recall them having two sets of laces, but they

did have these little color triangles you could pop into the side of the shoe to represent your school colors. These are not the same design but similar.

10. How many of you had one of these butt ugly things?
I waited in a line for four hours to get my daughter one.

Ungrateful brat! She probably doesn't even have it any more!:sarcasm: Truth be told, she loved that doll!

12. Dora Fritzi
My grandma got her for me when they were all the rage.

I would probably have rather had a dinosaur figurine.

Dude, my kindergarten teacher had a record of dinosaur songs. It was the BOMB. :o

14. Nope! But I do remember...
Jellies!

Just be sure to put some baby powder in them before you go out. Those shoes could make your feet sweat in the dead of winter.
