I've got a grill, chicken, cut fruit, a greek salad and rice -- what should I do? |
|
We are having some new neighbors over, spurt of the moment. I'm not feeling too ambitious but what we have so far seems to lack a theme.
I plan to fillet and grill the chicken and some of the fruit (whatever works - pineapple at least), serve it with sweet sour sauce and rice. Do the greek salad first, fruit and cheese...
Any food item that would round this out?
Btw, the cut fruit includes kiwi, cantalope, apples, oranges, blueberries, pineapple, strawberries.

3. Grilled summer squash (yellow or zucchini) or grilled eggplant would be nice. |

They work with both the Greek flavors of the salad and the sweet/sour sauce.
The cut fruit sounds like a nice assortment. I hope that the cheese is something with a creamy finish like brie or Havarti, or a rich cheddar.
