Why do you think they got rid of Nathan?

2. That was totally epic!
What a great episode.

I doubt we've seen the last of Nathan Stark. This IS Eureka after all.

Gotta say. I didn't see that coming though.

4. I have to admit I actually cried
the expression on his face as he 'disintegrated'. Damn. But I was really hoping they weren't going to wipe out Henry; they came close to booting him before and he's one of my favorite characters.

3. I haven't the foggiest idea, he was definitely great eye candy
even when he was being a grade-A asshole.

I think yesterday's episode was a well done Groundhog Day type episode, especially given Sci-Fi channel standards!

5. no kidding, re eye candy.
Also saw on his imdb profile he's 6'6", which makes me swoon even more (my husband is 6'4"; I seem to get weak in the knees over tall men). He's in a Cadillac commercial (the commercial annoys the shit out of me) so I am wondering if his star is rising & he left for another show or something  Bummer.

Just like Harry Dresden from The Dresden Files - yum. He's on "Lipstick Jungle" now as Brooke Shields' character's SO.

7. **swoon**
oh lordy, he is a fine looking man. There are not many out there who make my heart skip a beat (I think George Clooney is OK, but not droolworthy). But this guy? Sigh.

Why'd they get rid of him? Why? I liked Eureka, and he was just a bonus. I hope he doesn't go on to some stupid cops-and-robbers bullshit show. Wah.

9. Perhaps viewers were tired of his character being an obnoxious, insufferable douche?
Just a theory, and is not meant to be a reflection on the man in real life. Same reason I wish they would get rid of the ex-wife on "Two And A Half Men."

11. Not me. I LOVED the character.
The show won't be the same without him.

I hope he comes back, but it does appear they were grooming the new corporate woman to take his place.

12. but - I think the show NEEDS the tension between Jack and Nathan ---
two 'alpha' males fighting for dominance, so to speak, of Eureka. Because Henry's cool, but he's not the main dude, and it will be boring as shit with just Jack. Eva Thorne can in no way possible provide the kind of foil to Jack that Nathan did.

BTW, I met the woman playing Eva Thorne in the Frankfurt airport back in October. She was tiny, and nice enough, but she had some insufferable guy with her who kept talking oh-so-loudly about how wonderful first class travel and and the Lufthansa lounge were (we were stuck in that particular Frankfurt hell of having to wait around for certain gates to open at 7am). And then the stupid shit sneezed all over those of us not fortunate to be traveling with a "star". Ugh.

13. I agree completely wrt Jack and Nathan
Which is why I sincerely hope Nathan being gone is a temporary thing.
