Any parents feeling sad with the kids off to University far away. I just dropped my daughter at the |
|
airport off to finish 4th year and on Thursday we take the second one to Halifax to begin his University experience. I know I was thinking this would be a good thing and I am sure it is but what a shock to the system it will be. Only one left at home, how spoiled do think he will be.

It has been many years since we dropped our oldest daughter off at college, and I still remember how heart-broken I was...
I suspect your youngest will be very spoiled!

2. Thanks for that I suspect he will be as well. I was sad when my only daughter left but this year it |
|
will be two of them and I feel like crying at the moment.

8. I am already sad anticipating my son going next year. My daughter |
|
will be starting her sophmore year next week and it was heartbreaking when we dropped her off last year. My son wants to go to school out of state and I can't even bear to think of it.
Then it will be my husband and I alone - too weird.

And we saw our children off to University on another continent.
But, you do get used to it, and you do adjust. I know it doesn't seem possible at first, but believe me, you'll settle into your new situation sooner than you can imagine.

6. Thanks it seems as though both are a continent away although it is only an 18 hour drive to both. |

7. For us, it was a 24 hour flight for one, and an 18 hour flight for the other |
|
They have since moved closer (only an 8 our flight now).

9. I would be thrilled if one graduated at long last |
|
Kid 1 has dropped out of 5 colleges and has only 5 credits to go. She's still dithering around, living with her boyfriend, not doing much of anything.
Kid 2 is in college #4 and has finally figured out what she wants to do, but it's going to take 3 more years for her to finish.
Guess who's shelling out over $700 a month to pay student loans? Neither one makes enough money to pay the loans.
