There's things I'd like to change about myself.
One of them is the way I talk. If I make a conscious effort to talk like an educated person, I guess I can do it, but that's not really the way I am, an my folks probly wouldn't recognize me. We're from southwest Ohio an we got a little different way uh talkin around here. I been told I got a southern drawl when I meet people from de north. Down south dey think I'm from Canada. Maybe it's dis little section of Ohio I'm from. But I've heard people around here talk in a way dat makes dem sound educated. Maybe it's just dis little town dat has dis weird dialec. I don know. People assume all kins of things about you based on a way you talk.

But one thing is for certain. If you can string a few sentences together in a coherent fashion and you have a dictionary, you can sound just as intelligent and refined as the next guy on the internet.

5. Exactly
you are someone who understands people and who is able to articulate those conversations. Your street stories are always interesting to read.

You are street wise in a very positive way.

8. Don't worry about the way you talk.
I've got a college degree and in many settings, especially amongst a lot of talkative extroverts it's hard for me to get a word in edge-wise. That lack of verbal expression has made more than a few people look at me as a less intelligent person I'm sure. As a matter of fact I know it has, but it's been mainly extroverts seeing me this way. :eyes:
But nuts to them. Sometimes I think the more a person talks the more I believe they're hiding something. You are who you are. Don't back away from that.

13. There's things I'd like to change about you, too.

If you aren't married, find some woman who wants to change you. It shouldn't be hard. :silly:

14. Be true to yourself Droopy
It's not worth selling youself out, to try and impress a few strangers on the internet. Besides the good people will listen to what you have to say, not how you say it.

16. Droopy, .. the way you talk eh?
You have a very pleasant voice. You speak with intelligence. I detect a slight (to me) southern accent. Not at all Canadian. Don't go changin'

Billy Joel has a song, a love song but the words do fit.

I dont want clever conversation
I never want to work that hard
I just want someone that I can talk to
I want you just the way you are.

Many people want you, just the way you are Droopy.
