Question about McCain's VP pick.

My father, a liberal Democrat, mentioned that McCain did not want his VP to be Tom Ridge, because Tom Ridge is too tall. Is this true?

If this is true, this sounds a lot like the 2000 election. Rush Limbaugh even commented: "Tom Ridge can't be Bush's VP because when he stands next to Bush, he makes Bush look like a midget."
