stupid table - data base format question
I have two simple databases. I want to compare one column from each. I have two questions. How can I put both in one "table" (or can I?) the other has to do with saving paper. If I have a list of 200 plus items in one column it prints out on 4 pages, how can I place "one column" worth of data into 4 columns on the same page?

please give VERY simple instructions, I am self taught moran and I really don't know what I am doing.

thanks

2. If it's Excel, then
select the last 150 items, cut and paste into column B
Select the last one hundred in column B and cut and paste into column C

And so on.

7. Microsoft Works is teh devil
Seriously, I hate that "suite." I tried to help a friend with that software and couldn't get anywhere. You might want to consider OpenOffice, a free open source office productivity suite:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenOffice.org
http://www.openoffice.org

You get:
Writer - A word processor similar to Word
Calc - A spreadsheet similar to Excel
Impress - A presentation program similar to PowerPoint
Base - A database program similar to Microsoft Access
Draw - A vector graphics editor similar to CorelDRAW
Math - A math formula editing program similar to Equation Editor

8. ha
I have Open Office, but my first try with a database was the works one. the think I was trying to do today was take some of my data and make a table/printout for an open office document. I guess I should look at the Calc part and learn a bit more.

5. thanks! You know what, I am going to bookmark this so
next time (and there will definitely be one) I will know someone to look for. I figured out what I needed to for what I was doing today, but I know I need to go up the learning curve soon. Playing around with tables and data is great fun and might even be useful in my life.

6. It is fun.
Seriously, try Excel. You'll be amazed at how easy it is once you get used to it, and you can do so much with it.

Glad to hear you figured out what you needed to!
