Thanks for NOTHING, backs of cans!
I don't know what to make for dinner. I don't want to think about it. If it were just up to me, we'd eat that container of Italian olives and some pretzel rods, but noooo.
I have a lot of canned goods, many of which offer featured recipes on the backs of their labels. I thought for SURE one of them would produce a reasonable dinner proposition. No. Everything suggested on the backs of cans is gross! It's the same with the backs of boxed food.

People are getting paid to invent those recipes. I expect better than a restatement of how to make spaghetti on the back of a can of spaghetti sauce.

Idiots.

4. I wish.
Pepperoni sounds good. Unfortunately we had pizza a couple nights ago and everyone but me is sick of it. Losers.

2. My mayonnaise jar has a recipe for parmesan-crusted chicken breasts
The ingredients are grated parmesan cheese, mayonnaise, chicken breasts, salt and pepper.

I'll give you a dollar if you make it AND eat it.

5. No way.
How would that even produce a "crust"?
I don't think so.

3. If it were me, I'd spend my time trying to think of meals that are impossible to make.
If I could not manage that, I would settle for thinking recipes that would be deliberately disgusting.

6. Their titles must all be: "Easy _____"
So the home chef can feel inept, as well.

8. lentil salad, aka last night's dinner
Edited on Wed Sep-10-08 02:37 PM by LeftyMom
1. Step one: go to Trader Joes. Buy precooked green lentils, some sweet yellow or white onions, kalamata olives, lemon juice, baby tomatoes, olive oil and red wine vinegar.

2 Step two: mix a couple of splashes of each of the liquids in the bottom of a bowl, dump in the lentils, chop the onions up pretty small and add them, then throw the baby tomatoes and olives on top.

3. Step three: eat.
