DU office workers, are you allowed to listen to music? and what kind?
I go crazy if the building gets too quiet and can't concentrate, but my office room is tucked away so I can listen to XM radio online, usually classical or jazz. Though on Friday afternoons I'll put it on the classic rock station and no one in the lobby can hear it :headbang:

2. No streaming media access here
But I listen to anything and everything on my iPod with no problems. I keep the volume low, and try not to play Green Day's American Idiot (too much)

:D

4. Yes, if you have a personal player and headphones
You can't stream online (too much bandwidth) but MP3 payers and radios with headphones are fine. Though radio reception is lousy in this building.

6. I've got this amazing technology called an iPod...
that allows me to listen to stuff through these things called headphones, so no one in the office cares what I listen to.

So far today I've listened to NIN's and Opeth's excellent "Blackwater Park".

11. I'm required to listen to jazz and blues from 9 to 4
Because I work at a radio station whose format is NPR, jazz, and blues.

I once interviewed a woman for my assistant's position who told me she didn't think she "could work with that radio playing all day long." She didn't get the job.

14. I can listen to whatever I want, and often do. Sometimes I play guitar.
But when the secretary is around, she likes her classical radio station, so I let her have that.
