for some reason, the lower right side of my jaw is aching like crazy... I think I've been grinding harder than usual (I do have a night guard)... it's sort of this dull ache rather than a sharp pain, but it's really distracting and depressing...
What to do? I've tried Anbesol and Motrin, also regular aspirin which are doing a little bit, but it's still distracting. What's the best over-the-counter pain med for this kind of thing?
If this falls under the category of seeking medical advice, I'm sorry...

Jaw pain could be a sign of a serious condition.
I think you should get checked out.
If it ends up just being caused by night grinding of your teeth, and your night guard alone is not helping, ask your dentist for some muscle relaxers.
