3. Thank you very much!
She's also brilliant, thoughtful, well read and an Obama Supporter! Her father hasn't been living here for just about eighteen months, and though he sees her on the weekends they don't tend to go out, just father and daughter. But they did yesterday, and apparently he noticed for the first time that every male stares at her. He was like, "K! Did you see that?! That guy was looking at you... wait. That's guy's looking too. Oh my god, they're all looking at you!" and he turned to here in astonishment. Not me: I'm with her all the time, acting like a mother bulldog. :D

7. They do; it amazes and appalls me.
I guess I didn't believe the other mothers who would stop me in the grocery store to tell me, "Enjoy this time. It goes so fast!"

Bet it doesn't seem that long...

9. No, it really doesn't.
She was a serious, feisty little girl and now she's a serious, feisty grown girl. Sigh.

20. If her senior year is this year, that means she's the same age as my little sister...
whose diapers I changed. And it doesn't seem that long ago. :P

It's funny, on her 15th birthday my older brother and I were complaining about the fact that she was growing up WITHOUT our permission. She tried to defend herself by saying 'it's not my fault' and all those teenager excuses. At one point my brother and I, at the same time, said "Hey, we changed your diapers!" and her response was, "Heh heh... suckers."

24. Nope, I'm only a decade older than her.
Still, seems like more sometimes. I was the one who picked her up from elementary school every day until I went off to college.

25. It's like that with me and my youngest sister (I was the oldest).
She slept in my bedroom and I was the one who sung to her at night, or whispered stories. I changed her diapers regularly when they weren't disposable and the changing required a swish in the toilet. She's now 36 and recently, when we got together at a third sister's house on the cape, crept into my bedroom, woke me and told me she thought I was "still beautiful" and that she would do anything for me.

It pays off, the love. :D

31. Yep. As soon as my little sister graduates high school
she's following us up the coast and going to school somewhere up here. Between my older brother and his daughter, who was close enough to my sister's age to be like a little sister to her, who live in VT, my step-sister who was in the role you mentioned, sharing a bedroom with her when she was little ect., living in Boston, and me, the one who took care of her after everyone else had left for college living here in NY, and the fact that Orlando doesn't have much going on in the way of music, she's got every reason to leave FL and come up this way.

Whew. Try typing that run-on sentance in one breath. :P

11. I am. She's close to perfect.
She got involved with the Veterans for Peace over the summer, and has agreed to act as a liason between their organization and her high school. She is not only beautiful, she's also just wonderful. Honors student, etc. Yeah, I'm PROUD!!!! :bounce: And she promises to take care of me in my old age! Heh.

Oh no, he wouldn't do that. Would he? It may sound irresponsible, but she is an aspiring model/governor of the State of Maine and she is not uncomfortable with her picture being out there. I am, and would not direct you to her Facebook page, for example.

Now, Retro. Do you think I should take it down? :hi:

27. What a lovely young lady crim son!
You are very blessed to have her in your life, and so is she for having you.

Mine is only 12, but I've already started putting up the concertina wire just in case she ends up half as beautiful as your daughter! :)
