There's been a man howling outside my window

Stewart was an old-school Republican — the kind you could respect. He and Henry Fonda are my favorite actors.

They did four films together: "On Our Merry Way" (1948), "How the West Was Won" (1962), "Firecreek" (1968) and "The Cheyenne Social Club" (1970.

The last one seemed like it was probably a lotta fun to make.

"How much money do you want, Harley?"

"Fifteen or twenty dollars ought to do me."

"What do you need it for?"

"Things."

"Well, what kind of things?"

"Just... just things. You know, like a drink of whiskey if I wanted it, or a new shirt or something."

"You already have two shirts. You don't want to wear but one of them at a time unless it's winter."

"There you go thinking like a Republican again."

"Well, you don't bring up politics while you're borrowing money, Harley! It ain't seemly!"

45. 'Cheyenne Social Club'
The first speaker is John O'Hanlan (Stewart), then Harley Sullivan (Fonda). They play two long-time cowboy buddies — the kind of buddies who are always at odds. (Sullivan's a fairly typical cowboy while O'Hanlan's pretty conservative.) Fun ensues when O'Hanlan inherits something called the Cheyenne Social Club, and they ride to Cheyenne from Texas to find out it's a brothel. :)

You do honestly remind me of somebody I used to know on here, but I know you are not her. I also know you're a Buffy fan, so the Spike coincidence makes sense. I have always had a HUGE crush on him and before the boyfriend, used to joke around with a couple of DUers (one banned, one quite gone but not before she decided I was an enemy) about taking him, one of us at a time. Two would hide under the bed, and...

Yeah. I'm old, but not dead. :P

Let's see: I don't know the name of the figure. She has him as Spike, in his long black overcoat and looking good. Her boyfriend (nineteen!) has him as a vamp, baring his teeth. Together they are recreating Buffy's house, with the Bf's 3D architechtural software. Buffy was the first series I ever fell in love with; Angel was good but not quite as good.

Now you have me curious about the range of figures. I'll check them out, and I apologize for thinking you might be an ex-DUer!

I think we don't own Darla. We have that same Wes as you do. We have Anya in the bunny suit. I know for a fact we have no Dawn or Cordelia, because my daughter finds them irritating. I'd like a Cordelia. Hmmm. We have a Buffy but I didn't notice which one. We have the weapons cabinet and weapons.

Will you get more? My daughter works at the Stephen King bookstore and gets merchandise at a very good price. She has a bunch of signed portraits and books by various musicians, authors and stars. I really oughta rob her.

Also, I have to get a Buffy, but I have to decide on one, there are so many.

What I really want is a Drusilla action figure. You know Spike's first girlfriend, the crazy, sexy British vampire? Those figures are difficult to find.

I want a Cordy and a Dawnie. I love them, I know some think they are annoying, but I think they are cute. :)

On edit:

I got to have this:

Cordelia the Pylean Princess. When she was princess of Pylea, she emancipated the slaves.

70. I was going to tell you I wanted Drusilla.
She is by far the best female character in Buffy besides Willow. I love what she was before being changed. I'd like a Cordelia too, even though she annoyed the hell out of me during her pregnancy both on and off the set.

So, elshiva. Is this a passing obsession, or does it define your life at this time? :P Sorta kidding.

72. You are e xactly the same age as I was when I believed I was
Ann Sexton, or at least an incarnation of her spirit. I wrote and wrote, thinking that I was a troubled soul and that the writing might purge me for a while like it did her. Then I told a friend about it, and she never spoke to me again thinking I was insane. It's been nearly twenty years and I know I wasn't insane and I wonder why my friend was so afraid.

I think it's interesting. You were almost a nun? I dreamed of it, like Catholic girls do, but then I began to read history; devour it.

Thank you, Elshiva, for posting.

Thank YOU for posting.

84. If you'd just release me from that bear trap you put out for howling men, I'd go home.
You think I like howling outside your window?
