Really? Not ONE hug?

I posted last night about my broken back (fractured vertebra). I just found out what all the pain was about yesterday afternoon. I asked for hugs. Can I have at least one? I have to leave today to take care of my sister who just had a hysterectomy. All I have is low-dose (5mg) pain meds for my lumbar region. This fracture is in my thoracic region.

How are you managing your fracture while you take care of your sister? Is there anything your doctor can do?

6. I plan on taking care of my sister while on pain medication.

I can't let her know because she'll definitely tell me not to come. But she really doesn't have anybody else who can stay with her, and it's her first surgery (ever). Recovering from a hysterectomy isn't easy.

I always say "If you need hugs, you have to go after them". Unfortunately, my doctor told me that these compression fractures happen to old ladies with osteoporosis. I'm just not ready for that. I thought I'd have to turn 70 before I had to worry about soft bones. Well, I still have to take an MRI. Maybe it isn't from osteoporosis.
