Okay, Lounge baseball fans, before the first pitch is thrown, let's see what you think. Winner gets a Toyota or ten bucks, your pick.

For the record, here are my picks:

ALDS
Rays over White Sox, 3-1
Red Sox over Angels, 3-2

NLDS
Brewers over Phillies, 3-1
Cubs over Dodgers, 3-0

ALCS
Rays over Red Sox, 4-3

NLCS
Cubs over Brewers, 4-1

World Series
Rays over Cubs, 4-2

5. I'm not sure about a lot of this
But I really think Angels over BoSox--sorry..Red Sox fans
I would LIKE to see Tampa vs. Cubs in the Series but my gut says Angels vs. Cubs with Angels winning in 6.

17. I'm with you, kinda...
though I'm of course going to root for my Red Sox and hope we're both wrong.

Where I disagree...I think the Cubs beat the Halos in 5. Not having a DH hurts Anaheim more than any other viable AL team IMO. It might hurt the White Sox more but I don't think anybody expects Chicago(AL) to make it out of the ALDS.

15. It's obvious.
Cubs over everyone by sweeping to the WS - every game 100 - zero. They'll go on to win the Superbowl, as well... 63 - 3.

16. Why is everybody hatin' on my Phillies?
We split a 2-game series against the Brewers in Milwaukee in April.
We swept them in a 4-game series here in Philly a few weeks ago
We have home field advantage for this series, and we're 5-1 with them this year.
What gives?

23. Not gonna happen
The erstwhile AL East doormats are a prime candidate for "just happy to be here" syndrome. Thus, they will have giant "Beat Me" signs on their backs where the player names and numbers would be.

So what's to say they cant do it in the post season?

Personally I think the WS will be Angels - Cubs. The two teams with the best record would certainly make for an interesting series.

They will eat the Brewers lunch, win in 4 games.

That's as far as I go now, but I'd love to see them win it all.

42. My Phillies looked good yesterday!
Cole Hamels pitched a nearly flawless game, allowing only two hits. He made it look like a cake walk.....and then, for reasons unknown, they pulled him out and put Brad Lidge in for the last inning.

All the local sports radio stations are going at it this morning, questioning Charlie Manuel's decision to fix what ain't broke. Instead of leaving Cole in to finish off the game while he was going strong and with a 100-pitch count, he brought in Brad Lidge - and turned what SHOULD have been a shut-out into a potential disaster. I don't drink very often, but I sure coulda used a Grey Goose and tonic yesterday.

I'm not nearly as confident today as I was yesterday - we have to deal with Sabathia, one of the best pitchers around....and who does Manuel decide is going to pitch for the Phils today? THIS guy:

Brett Myers. He makes "Wild Thing" Mitch Williams look like a sure thing in comparison.

My brother called me last night and told me that he's gonna watch the game at a bar, where there's alcohol to assist him in dealing with the stress; as for me....somebody hold me, please!!!! :scared:

Dodgers over Phillies 4-1
Red Sox over Rays 4-2

Dodgers over Red Sox 4-3

The Phillies and the Rays must NOT make it to the WS or else it'll be a dramaless snoozefest.
