The kittehs spent their first whole day alone together today...yay! |
|
We got home around 3:45. I left at 8:45 am, and...everyone is still alive and intact! :woohoo:
There are still some skirmishes, but overall, peace has fallen over chez Sniffa. Ahhhhhh.
Currently I have kitteh asleep next to me on the couch, and Milk is asleep on the spare bed (her favorite sleeping spot, lately.)
Soon, I move her box into the spare room, and her food/water dishes into the kitchen. Then we can finally have our room back.
Thought y'all might want an update on our previously hopeless situation. Jeebus bless the squirt gun and the laser pointer! :D

I am all healed...face, back and thigh. :D
She's better about it, indeed. And she did get kitteh right in the same spot on the nose a few days ago, but other than that and a couple scabs on the back of his head, everyone is well. Frankly, he kinda deserves it, as he's become the primary aggressor and has a penchant for ambushing her and biting her neck and trying to mount her. Milk just doesn't go for that, at all. My girl can hold her own. :)

One of my cats and the cat upstairs who thinks he lives here (he comes down the fire escape and onto my roof deck and into my house as the door is, so far, still open during the day) have started a spray war. My door and god knows where else in the kitchen have been very noticeably sprayed. I guess I'll have to crawl around the room with my nose at the level of a cat's ass to determine exactly where the enzyme cleaner goes. Luckily I recently invested in a gallon of it with a rather cool pistol grip battery-powered pump. Also today my own cat did my only decent living room chair in the 60 seconds I was out of it and in the bathroom. Then apparently as soon as one of my neighbors opened her door to the roof he did a 90 degree turn and shot like a rocket into her place. She caught him just before he refreshed the chair he had already sprayed a week or so ago. I guess he's extending his territory and claiming a backup mama. I have been flirting with other pets and he is some pissed, and pissing. I might need one of those cat psychiatrists to come out, or a couples counselor. :hi:
