3. Beagles are smart.

I lived with a buddy for a few years that had a Beagle. We couldn't keep him in the yard. He wasn't just an escape artist, he was an asshole:D

After his great escape he wouldn't take off. He would sit on the other side of the fence and bark at my Lab as if saying "Come on you idiot, I broke us out"

16. I totally believe it. My beagle is like Houdini

I've had Daisy for almost a year now, so she's almost 2 (or at least we think so). We got her from my vet, who was fostering her. All that they were able to get from the shelter she was at was that she was horribly abused before she was rescued. I don't know how anyone could hurt her - she's the sweetest thing on earth. And she's just beautiful, but shy. She runs from the camera, so I haven't been able to get a decent picture of her! Not one in a year!

We put her and my 12 year old male doxie outside for a little while each day on a lead to let them get some air and play outside. She can get off that leash faster than any dog I've ever known. I've spent quite a bit of time chasing her all over my neighborhood!

My 2 year old loves her to pieces because she's very gentle with him. She just rolls over and lets him get right in her face and touch her ears. She's a sweetiepie!

We love our beagle!
