Ticketmaster is SUCH a ripoff. |
|
2 $34.00 tickets turns into $100.00 with just a couple mouse clicks.
Fuckers. But, what are you gonna do?

Last concert tickets I bought were at a local club, so they were selling for face value there and at a couple of local record stores.
This time? Let's just say I'd have liked dinner first. :eyes:

2. The biggest ripoff about them is |
|
that you have to pay to print off your own tickets. What is that? Ticketmaster is literally doing nothing and yet they get to charge a fee for you expending your own paper and ink.

3. I could write a 10 page tirade on how much I fucking hate Ticketbastard. |
|
I bought tickets for Nine Inch Nails in Vegas today. The face value of the tickets was $54. Add all the bullshit fees they tack on when you purchase them is $68 / each. :grr:  :banghead:

4. Yup. These are my Rise Against tickets, from $34 to right at $50. |
|
I didn't opt for printing or express mail, either.
Fuckers.
I saw NIN on their last tour. Awesome!

5. Yeah, what I hate is that they got you. |
|
Would you rather use Stubhub where ticket prices are artificially inflated to keep up with demand? Or would you rather use John Doe ticket agencies where they charge double or sometimes triple the face value?
And yeah, NIN live kicks ass. I finally got to see them 2 weeks ago after several years of waiting, it was well worth it.

Stubhub? No chance. I remember Pearl Jam trying the whole alternative thing. That kind of failed. I can appreciate a couple bucks for a convenience charge to not have to visit a box office 30 miles away, but this equates to an almost 50% markup.
What really messes with me, is that I'm having this great conversation with, of all things, an Angels fan. :P
Good luck tomorrow night. I mean that.

If the Brewers can do it, the Angels can do it, damn it!

6. I trust at least you don't have to drive three fucking hours? |
|
I'm not even sure, from a logistical standpoint, how I'm going to drive home in the middle of the night without crashing my car.
Stupid show being in stupid San Jose. :grr:

7. I'm taking a Southwest flight and staying on the Strip |
|
I've got frequent flyer miles so the price of the flight is covered. Now if I could just find a hotel in the general vicinity of the concert without getting blasted in the ass.

10. If I had the extra dough I'd do a hotel after this thing. |
|
Maybe I can see if a friend down in that neck of the woods has couch space. I'd still have to drive a ways to get to her place, but I'd be way less likely to kill myself than I would be doing the Altamont pass at 3 am.

15. At least driving to San Jose you dont have to deal with El Cajon. |
|
That section of I-15 scares the fucking shit out of me every time I drive on it. Seriously. :scared:

16. I'm not familiar with that one. |
|
I know pretty much every road from here to the Washington border and east as far as Salt Lake like the back of my hand, but I'm fucking useless anywhere south of Bakersfield. Pretty much by choice- I just don't do down south if I can help it. :scared:

9. It'll be a couple hours. |
|
It's only 30 miles from my house, but it starts at 6pm. 6pm? Who does that? I'm going to fight rush hour in Tampa, THEN rush hour in St. Petersburg. If I could, I'd leave at noon and just hang in downtown St. Pete.

It sounds easier.
And you'd get to hang out with me.
