Of course Hitler was the prototype for all dictators from that point on. Honestly, it's impossible for me to not be in awe of what he pulled off. Literally a mafia of thugs using outright murder, intimidation and propaganda to take complete control of a country.

Once in power, Hitler as a Dictator obviously saw Germany as his 'artwork' and went about redesigning an entire culture in a matter of years - and it worked.

The Nazis in general were the best dressed military ever - They just LOOKED evil and intimidating (especially the SS)

Although the Nazis def. owe much of their style to the Romans, Hitler goes down as probably the most 'effective' dictator of all time.

Nazis are almost cartoon like villains - Problem was - they were very real. That is very frightening.

Current day Dictators? Hmm, they are all pathetic. Actually, Saddam's story is was fucking crazy - Another complete Mafia style take over of the country. His whole stunt with picking people out of their parliament and then having other government officials execute them was very Hitleresque. But, he ain't in power anymore - so yeah

Kim Jong Il - simply because he is so fucking bizarre.

Many wouldn't have heard of this guy, but he has an enormous ego and has a big statue of him facing the son in Tashkent (I think that's the capital of Turmenistan) and he named to rename the months aftter himself and his family. For example, January would be renamed as Turkmenbashi.

Nyazov is beyond being a dictator -- he has such delusions of grandeur that every new revelation about him only serves to "kick it up a notch."

13. Hitler and Stalin killed the most people, but Pol Pot was the worst, IMO.

His reign in Cambodia in the 1970's included probably the worst actions that humans undertook against other humans in the history of our species.

Hitler and Stalin were terrible and everything, but if you ever read about the types of things Pol Pot did, you'd think that Hitler and Stalin's genocides were lame.

Hitler and Stalin were pussies compared to Pol Pot. That says a lot about how demonic Pol Pot was.
