"Costochondritus" aka "Harmless Flaming Chest Pain"
I've had it hit twice now in two years. It stops all weight lifting and even makes other exercise hurt for at least 3 months...

See this shitty condition here: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/costochondritis/DS00626

Ice? Glucostimine? Drugs? Surgery? Voodoo dolls?

WTF works??????????????????????????

It's driving me nuts as if that takes much.

1. Advil consistently every 4 hours, worked for me...
and be very slooooooowwwwww getting back up to speed...when I had it, it took a few weeks for the worst of the pain to subside, then another 5 to 6 months before I could do really deep breathing..doctor told me if it hurts or twinges at all, stop. You end up aggravating it and it will come back easier/sooner if you don't take the time to heal.

Even 20 years later, if I stretch to far for too long, I'll be sore for about a week. It's like when you hurt your back...it never totally heals, and reinjury is very easy to do.

Good luck, and I'm sending you much healing vibes!!!

2. Thank you. It sounds like you had a stronger version than mine.
Mine is isolated under the left pectoral so I've been spared total chest pain. It sounds like your type was bigger and badder, what a nightmare.

I can actually feel my inflammation ringht on the bone. What a little monster it is.

I'll take the anti-inflammatorys and keep the ice going. Hopefully the glucosomine will help too.
